$6 Billion Debt: ADF Pressures Tinubu To Suspend NNPCL Chief Kyari
The Arewa Democratic Front (ADF) has called on President Bola Tinubu to take immediate action by suspending Mele Kyari, Group CEO of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL), amid a contentious $6 billion debt owed to petrol suppliers.
The ADF, citing severe financial strain and persistent fuel shortages under Kyari’s leadership, accused him of gross mismanagement and inefficiency.
The group criticized the high fuel prices and long queues at petrol stations as evidence of NNPCL’s failures.
They also denounced alleged corruption and poor management practices, including dubious subsidy payments and problematic acquisitions.
The ADF demands a leadership overhaul at NNPCL to restore transparency and stability, urging Tinubu to act decisively for the benefit of the Nigerian people.
