A Painful Decade: South African Mother’s Shocking Account Of Daughter Buried Alive In TB Joshua’s Church Tragedy

“My daughter Sibongile Princess died on her first trip to the synagogue. She was looking forward to being there just like everyone that you see on TV. She still has her favorite teddy bear in her room, which she had asked her siblings to keep for her. She was such a perfectionist.

“We all saw the miracles every day on television, and we thought that this could only be the hand of God.

“However, on September 12, when I heard the news of the collapse, I tried to call my daughter, tried to send an SMS, but there was no response. That was when I could not breathe. I could not sleep.”

The grieving mother waited anxiously for a call from the church regarding her daughter’s safety, but it took five days for any information to reach her. She expressed shock and sorrow over the unexpected tragedy, stating, “My daughter was buried alive.”

Sonny’s son, Lwandle, also shared his perspective, describing his sister Phumzile as the golden child of the family. He revealed that she sought miracles for a back problem and was directed to the Nigerian church. The family, gripped with panic, received vague information and was only asked to wait and pray. Unfortunately, a church delegation later confirmed Phumzile’s passing, leaving her brother without the opportunity to bid her farewell.
