Breaking: Court Remands Two REA-Officials Over Alleged N1.85 Billion-Fraud (Details)
A Federal High Court in Abuja has ordered the remand of Umar Musa Karaye and Emmanuel Titus Pada, officials from the Rural Electrification Agency’s (REA) Account and Finance Department, in Kuje Prison.
Justice Emeka Nwite issued the order following their arraignment on charges related to a N1.853 billion fraud.
The officials, accused of misappropriating funds intended for rural electrification, pleaded not guilty. The court has scheduled their bail hearing for June 20 and set July 10 for the trial to commence.
