Breaking: New-Controller Of Corrections Assumes-Duty In FCT Command (Details)

Usman Ibrahim has officially assumed the role of Controller of Corrections for the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Command, following his appointment. Ibrahim’s takeover comes as John Francis, the previous Controller, was redeployed to the Kaduna State Zonal Headquarters.

Expressing gratitude to the officers of the command for their support during his tenure, Francis urged them to extend the same cooperation to Ibrahim, expressing confidence in Ibrahim’s ability to lead the command to greater achievements.

In response, Ibrahim conveyed optimism for a collaborative working relationship aimed at fulfilling the service’s mandate within the FCT.

Ibrahim brings a wealth of experience to his new role, having served in various capacities across 14 Custodial Centres since his enlistment into the service in 1990. Prior to assuming his current position, he served as the Controller of Corrections in charge of Operations at the National Headquarters in Abuja.

The transition marks a new chapter for the FCT Command of the Nigerian Correctional Service, with expectations set for continued excellence under Ibrahim’s leadership.
