The individuals, Fu Zejie and Zhu Zulin, were found guilty of placing rat poison in the food at a martial arts school in Anhui Province, located in eastern China.

This act was driven by a business dispute with the school’s owner, and the two evaded legal consequences for nearly 26 years.

The Intermediate People’s Court in Ma’anshan declared that both Fu Zejie and Zhu Zulin received “death sentences for the crime of poisoning,” as indicated in an online statement.

The court revealed that around 1994, a dispute arose between Zhu and another individual named Peng while they operated competing martial arts schools in the region.

Fu, who had started coaching at Peng’s facility in 1996, gradually developed dissatisfaction with Peng due to minor issues, according to the court’s account.
