Dangote Cement Plc’s management has refuted reports circulating on certain online platforms claiming that they have initiated a sales promotion and made adjustments to their prices.

In response to these misleading reports, Anthony Chiejina, the Chief Branding and Communications Officer of the Dangote Group, labeled them as mischievous, malicious, and entirely untrue.

He emphasized that the management has taken formal steps to alert law enforcement agencies to identify and expose those responsible for disseminating this deceitful information.

Chiejina advised Dangote Cement customers and other stakeholders to continue relying on the high-quality cement brand while remaining cautious of potential scammers seeking to defraud them of their money.

On October 1, 2023, BUA Cement Plc, a close competitor in the cement market, announced a reduction in the price of its cement product to N3,500 per bag, effective from Monday, October 2, 2023.

This decision aligns with their commitment to stimulate growth in the building materials and infrastructural sectors. The company communicated this price adjustment in a statement posted on its platform.

This move followed the chairman, Abdul Samad Rabiu’s pledge to President Bola Tinubu to review the product’s price after their meeting.
