Dumebi Kachikwu’s Passion For Nigeria Excites Voters For The 2023 Presidency

Will our nation’s political hegemony be challenged in the presidential elections of 2023? Will the upcoming presidential elections produce a significant upset given the abundance of trustworthy and alternative candidates running?

Careful research of voter registration statistics has made it imperative that a well-oiled campaign based on issues and solutions to the nation’s myriad of problems can indeed be a joker in the upcoming elections.

The presidential elections in the previous two electoral cycles had the lowest voter turnout in the nation’s history; in fact, the 2019 presidential elections had the lowest turnout in the continent in terms of the percentage of voters in recent times.

Using Lagos State as an example, Lagos State accounted for 6, 570,291 million voters out of the over 84 million voters in 2019. On election day, a total of 1,196,490 voters were accredited, with a total of 1,089,567 valid votes cast.

If we must use a calculator, this means that over 5.4 million voters did not exercise their right to vote, despite the fact that 80 percent of these people are the ones complaining about the country’s bad leadership.

Without further ado, this means that the country’s problem lies with the electorates who refuse to vote while complaining about the hardships that Nigerians face on a daily basis.

According to the reality, despite being duly registered to vote, the people who have the power to elect the occupant of the Presidential villa do not exercise their franchise.

All of this appears to be changing quickly, as there are now credible alternatives to the status quo, and considering the success of the #Endsars protest a while ago, there is a new found revelation that power can indeed change hands only if those who are dissatisfied with the system make concerted efforts to exercise their right to vote.

More than 100 million Nigerians have access to the internet, and if you consider that INEC has currently registered 10.5 million new voters online, it is obvious that only a deranged species would question the effectiveness of the apathetic, undecided voters.

The president of Roots Television and a Delta State billionaire, Mr. Dumebi Kachikwu, is one person who is quickly altering the perception of a third force.

Renowned as a problem solver who approaches issues holistically from the ground up. Dumebi is on the right track to the Villa.

Currently, electorates are excited about his presidential bid, which they see as a new order meant to give Nigerians a new lease on life. According to Kachikwu, he sees himself as a problem solver, rather than someone who will come in and add to the problems we already have.

Nigerians, on the other hand, appear to be looking for a candidate with a strong desire to address the country’s rapidly depleting economy, insecurity, education, health, and other critical issues.

Dumebi Kachikwu in his declaration speech had this to say: “Together we can design a new menu for our people. We will rebuild Nigeria from the ground up and do away with the faulty and archaic colonial foundation that now characterizes our current existence. We must define our common charter as Nigerians and constitute a new nation that is not only inclusive for all but guarantees equal rights and expressions to all irrespective of tribe, tongue and religion.

This new Nigeria must come first before any other identification. It will be our common bond as we do away with all colonial relics of division, mistrust and hatred.

Will Dumebi shake things up? Will the electorate’s current enthusiasm for Dumebi’s presidential ambition translate into victory in the February 25, 2023 presidential elections?
