Edo 2024: Days After Ogie’s Ooperation Present Yourself For Interrogation”, Monday Fail To Show Up At BIU Thinkers Nest On Monday

Monday Okpebholo a.k.a Agbakomiza, has not spoken a word, at least to address Edo people, since news of his gubernatorial aspiration hit the airwaves. The only time he spoke, he is reported to have murdered the English language.

English is the common and official language of communication in Nigeria, although it may not be the total measure of one’s intelligence, administrative and organisational skill, it is however a principal prequisite when running for public office.

Agbakomiza is running for the office of Governor of Edo State, he is of the APC extraction; he however does not want to speak to Edo people in any known language, not even Greek or Latin.

Edo State, being an extraordinarily vibrant state, with her people well exposed, skilled and educationally buoyant, to be Edo State governor, one basic standard that must be met is proficiency in the English language.

Continuous mutilation of the English language may, however, reduce drastically one’s chance in relaying ideas to the expectant people.

The Benson Idahosa University, BIU, Thinkers Nest would have been Agbakomiza’s chance to sell his ideas to the electorates, but his failure to show up at the all-important event suggests he may not be entirely ready for the top job which requires capacity.

Osadebey Avenue is not a secret society to be accessed through the backdoor, let us get this right.

The office of the Governor of Edo State is not anyone’s private estate and it cannot be gifted to just anybody, it is not a tool for political compensation, and so whoever must govern Edo State must be seen to be prepared for the herculean task.

Agbakomiza has not shown any trait of preparedness for the job, let us look beyond partisan politics, but the interest of the majority of the people.

Days after Osarodion Ogie charged Edo people to continue to interrogate candidates, one would have thought that Agbakomiza will jump in the BIU Thinkers Nest, yet Monday failed to show up on Monday stamping his ill-preparedness for the job.

How Agbakomiza intend to market himself to the good people of Edo State without presenting himself for interrogation remains a major cause for concern; perhabs he is banking on Tinubu to package him into Osadebey Avenue by hook or by crook. The Edo State people would not allow this to happen.
