Popular Nigerian skit maker and actor, Samuel Perry, widely known as Broda Shaggi, has returned to social media months after reportedly being hospitalised following a shooting incident during a film production.

Ireporter Online reports that Shaggi made his first public social media appearance in several months on Saturday, August 8, 2026, after staying away from his online platforms following the reported incident.

The entertainer was reportedly injured in March while filming around the Sango-Ota Bridge area of Ogun State. He was said to have sustained an injury to his leg and was initially taken to a hospital in Alakuko, Lagos, before reportedly being transferred to another medical facility in Ikeja.

Following the incident, Shaggi remained largely inactive on social media, prompting concern among fans and followers who regularly followed his comedy content.

However, the skit maker has now broken his prolonged silence with a humorous video shared on Instagram. The post, which marked his return to the platform, featured a comic skit captioned, “65 years of celibacy journey of no return.”

His comeback came less than a day after he shared an emotional message with followers through his WhatsApp channel, where he expressed appreciation to those who continued to check on him during his absence.

Shaggi acknowledged that he had been unable to maintain his usual interaction with fans during the period but said their continued support and encouragement meant a great deal to him.

The entertainer thanked his supporters for remaining loyal despite his prolonged silence, noting that their messages and concern helped him through what appeared to have been a challenging period.

His return has since attracted attention from fans and followers, many of whom have welcomed the comedian back to social media after months away from the public space.
