Controversial Nigerian rapper, Darlington Okoye, popularly known as Speed Darlington, has lashed out at fellow hip-hop artiste CDQ over recent comments in which CDQ declared that no amount of money, not even $100 billion, could compel him to collaborate with Speed Darlington.

According to iReporter Online, the remark was made during CDQ’s appearance on the Echoo Room podcast hosted by Teddy A, where he was asked which artiste he would never consider working with. Without hesitation, CDQ mentioned Speed Darlington, stating firmly that even a staggering financial offer would not sway his decision.

In a swift response during a live video session with his followers, Speed Darlington dismissed CDQ’s comments and questioned both his relevance and financial standing in the Nigerian music industry. He claimed not to know CDQ and suggested that the rapper was not influential or successful enough to warrant his attention.

“I don’t know who he is. If I don’t know you, you don’t exist to me,” Speed Darlington said, while mockingly referring to CDQ as a “poor man” and alleging that he has probably never had access to ₦50 million.

He continued, “Give it up for QDT. How does that sound? A man who hasn’t touched ₦50 million wants to talk about collaboration? He’s not worthy of my time or recognition.”

The fiery exchange between the two entertainers has since sparked widespread reactions online, with fans divided over the confrontation. While some have taken sides, others view the entire episode as part of the ongoing theatrics common in the Nigerian entertainment space.
