How Yemi Alade Manages To Steer-Clear Of Controversies
Nigerian singer, Yemi Alade, has revealed how she has been able to stay away from different controversies in the entertainment industry.
Ireporteronline reports that the ‘Johnny’ crooner while speaking at the listening party of her new album, ‘Rebel Queen’ in Lagos State, explained that she handles negative criticisms by ignoring them.
Yemi Alade stated that everyone is entitled to their opinions adding she always moves away when she sees or hears anything that does not resonate with her.
She said, “I don’t think about it [negative criticisms] too much. I’m just living my life because it’s only one life I’ve.
“Once I see or hear anything that doesn’t resonate with me I look the other way and I keep it moving. Because everybody is entitled to their opinions.”
In other news, Yemi Alade has stated that the Lagos State government is giving Nigerians reasons not to invest in the state’s real estate.
Recall that in an Instagram post, Alade had berated the government over its demolition of houses in the Mende area of the state.
She frowned at the Lagos government’s incessant demolition of houses.
Alade asserted that the government was making life more difficult for citizens by rendering them homeless overnight, adding that the ongoing demolition is ruining the real estate value of the state and driving investors away.
Speaking on the incessant issue of demolition in Lagos State, the singer called on the state government to at least start refunding affected legal buyers the monies paid to the state government when purchasing their land.
