A performer popularly known as Fake Flavour has finally addressed the growing controversy surrounding allegations that he has been impersonating award-winning Nigerian highlife star, Flavour N’abania.

Speaking on the issue, Fake Flavour clarified that his stage name was chosen purely out of admiration for the celebrated artist and not as an attempt to deceive the public or exploit Flavour’s reputation for personal gain.

According to reports from Ireporter Online, the singer maintained that his decision to adopt the name “Fake Flavour” was a tribute to his musical idol. He firmly denied any involvement in fraudulent activities, insisting that his fans and clients are fully aware of who he is.

“I’m not using Flavour’s name to scam people; I just love him,” he explained. “Flavour would never perform for the amount I charge. My booking fees are usually between ₦700,000 and ₦800,000, and people who hire me know I’m doing my own thing.”
