Nigerian singer and celebrity boxer Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, is set to renew his highly publicised rivalry with Nollywood actor Charles Okocha as both stars face off in the headline bout of the 2026 edition of Chaos In The Ring in Lagos.

According to Ireporter Online, the much-anticipated celebrity boxing event will take place on Friday, July 31, with the main fight scheduled to begin from 6 p.m., featuring a mix of celebrity clashes and professional boxing contests involving Nigerian and international fighters.

Portable enters the contest with confidence after undergoing intensive training with boxing coach Taiwo Esepo Agbaje, while Charles Okocha has insisted that the outcome of the fight will be decided by performance inside the ring rather than pre-fight exchanges.

Speaking ahead of the bout, Okocha said he was focused on proving his ability when the bell rings, stressing that verbal battles cannot determine the winner of a boxing contest.

“Talking and fighting are two different things. I’ll prove myself in the ring. That is where the real business begins,” he said.

The actor also revealed that he underwent training sessions in the United Kingdom as part of his preparation, adding that the experience helped him improve his boxing skills and prepare for future challenges.

Okocha further stated that his training was aimed at improving his overall ability rather than focusing solely on defeating Portable.

Another major attraction at the event will be the celebrity showdown between Nigerian artistes Idowest and Mr Real, who are expected to settle their differences inside the boxing ring following months of public exchanges.

The winners of both celebrity boxing bouts will be rewarded with brand-new electric vehicles as part of the event’s prize package.

Meanwhile, the professional boxing category will feature British-based Nigerian boxer Samuel Antwi taking on Tanzania’s Suleiman Jafaru in one of the night’s major contests.

Antwi expressed excitement about returning to Nigeria and vowed to secure victory, while Jafaru maintained confidence that the fight would be decided through action rather than words.

The Tanzanian boxer said he respected his opponent but was determined to emerge victorious when they meet in the ring.
