Innoson Boss Chukwuma Calls For Patience As Tinubu’s Administration Takes Shape
The Chief Executive Officer of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing (IVM), Chief Innocent Chukwuma, has urged fellow Nigerians to be patient with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration.
He expressed confidence that the country would witness positive changes soon.
The IVM boss described the Federal Government’s CNG policy as the “best idea for transportation” in Nigeria, citing numerous benefits for the citizens.
Chukwuma said this while addressing reporters after a meeting with President Tinubu at the State House yesterday in Abuja.
The IVM boss expressed confidence in the President’s ability to make the country greater, citing his personal knowledge of Tinubu’s leadership style.
He urged Nigerians to give the administration more time to implement its policies, confident that the results would be evident soon.
Chukwuma said: “I decided to talk to him because of how things are and encouraged him. People must be patient with him. This President, I know him, I know how he behaves. They should give him time. Everything they want; they will see a better Nigeria. They should just give him a little more time. I’m begging Nigerians to calm down for him.
“So, let everybody be patient because everybody knows that the previous government sold oil, collected the money and didn’t supply. This government is just supplying. It hasn’t got the money. So, they should give them time. Everything will be fine.
“The way I see him, he wants better things for this country. I’m encouraging everybody to be patient. There’s no need to destroy our things; there’s no benefit in destroying our infrastructure. Our benefit is in waiting for him to be calm to plan for the future of this country.”
Commenting on the partnership between Innoson Motors and the government, Chukwuma said it was ongoing and would soon lead to a widespread presence of Innoson Motors across Nigeria.
The IVM boss lauded the government’s policy on the CNG, describing it as the “best idea for transportation” in Nigeria.
He listed the numerous benefits of the policy for citizens.
Chukwuma announced that his company started producing CNG vehicles two years ago and had remained committed to increasing production to meet demand.
“I started CNG about two years ago. I was the first to start CNG in this country. As I came here, the issues about CNG will be over. I’ve discussed with them and they will see that in a short time, the masses will have enough CNG buses on the roads,” he said.
“It’s the best idea for transportation in this country because there are a lot of benefits for Nigerians to use CNG. It was those benefits I saw that led me to start the factory to produce CNG vehicles because I started producing CNG before the announcement.
