Israeli Military Reports More Militants Killed In Gaza City Hospital
The Israeli military has reported further militant casualties in the ongoing offensive targeting Gaza City’s al-Shifa hospital. Israeli forces conducting the offensive also uncovered weapons storage facilities within the vicinity of the hospital, the statement added. Despite the intensity of the operation, the military assured that civilians, patients, medical personnel, and equipment within the hospital were not harmed during the operation.
It should be noted that the information provided by the Israeli military has not been independently verified.
The offensive began in the early hours of Monday when Israeli troops entered the al-Shifa hospital, targeting Hamas and its infrastructure. The military stated that the objective of the operation was to dismantle Hamas’s presence in the area.
Since the commencement of the offensive, two Israeli soldiers have been reported killed, and approximately 160 suspects have been detained. The Israeli army previously entered the al-Shifa hospital in mid-November, where they claimed to have discovered a complex network of Hamas tunnels.
Meanwhile, fighting continues in other parts of the Gaza Strip, with the military reporting around 20 additional casualties described as terrorists in the central region of the coastal enclave.
The conflict in Gaza escalated following the Oct. 7 massacre of Israelis by Hamas terrorists and other extremist Palestinian groups near the border with the Gaza Strip. International criticism of Israel has mounted due to the high number of civilian casualties and the dire humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip.
