The suspended chairmen, identified as Muhammad Sani (Dutse), Bala Usman Chamo (Gumel), Ahmed Rufa’i (Ringim), and Alhaji Shehu Sule Udi (Auyo), faced unanimous suspension by the lawmakers, led by Committee Chairman Aminu Zakari.
The allegations outlined in the report include unauthorized payments, illegal transactions, and financial irregularities. Ahmed Rufa’i, in particular, was accused of embezzling over N543.6 million, diverting funds intended for ecological purposes, and making dubious payments to certain individuals.
Muhammad Sani faced allegations of conducting transactions without proper vouchers, while Bala Usman Chamo was suspended for engaging in illegal transactions amounting to N240,001,082.
