JUST IN: Tinubu Appoints Principal Secretary (PHOTO)

President Bola Tinubu has appointed Hakeem Okunola as his Principal Secretary, according to a statement from the presidency on Sunday.

Okunola, who previously held the position of Head of Civil Service in Lagos State, will bring his extensive experience in law and public service, spanning over 25 years, to his new role as Principal Secretary to President Bola Tinubu.

He had also previously served as Personal Assistant to President Tinubu during his tenure as governor of Lagos State.

This announcement coincides with President Tinubu’s nomination of two individuals, Dr. Jamila Bio Ibrahim and Mr. Ayodele Olawande, for ministerial positions in the Ministry of Youth, pending confirmation by the Senate.

“The President has further approved the nomination of Mr. Ayodele Olawande to serve as the Minister of State for Youth, pending his confirmation by the Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

“Dr. Jamila Bio Ibrahim is a young medical doctor and most recently served as the President of the Progressive Young Women Forum (PYWF). She has also served as the Senior Special Assistant to the Kwara State Governor on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs),” presidential spokesman Ajuri Ngelale said.
