Following the abduction incident that occurred shortly after the morning assembly gathering at LEA Primary School, Kuriga, the state government, under the leadership of Governor Uba Sani, has commenced negotiations for the safe release of the abducted pupils and teachers.

According to a reliable source within the Kaduna State Government House, who preferred anonymity for security reasons, negotiations with the bandits are being facilitated through a seasoned private negotiator with extensive experience in dealing with such situations.

The undisclosed source revealed that the appointed negotiator has a proven track record of successfully negotiating the release of abducted individuals in previous cases involving banditry.

“The government is sparing no effort in ensuring the swift and safe release of the abducted school pupils,” the source disclosed. “Through the designated negotiator, contact has been established with the bandits, who are currently holding the abducted victims.”

Furthermore, the source mentioned that security personnel, including the military, have commenced thorough search operations in the forests to locate and rescue the kidnapped pupils. The government has assured the public of its commitment to securing the safe return of the abducted children and teachers.

It is noteworthy that Governor Sani, during his visit to the school premises, reassured the parents and families of the abducted pupils of the government’s determination to ensure the safe rescue of their children.

In a related development, President Bola Tinubu has directed security agencies to prioritize the immediate release of the abducted students and teachers, as well as female internally displaced persons (IDPs) in Borno State.
