Kyari Is Dead, Remi Tinubu Pays Condolence Visit

On Wednesday, the First Lady, Remi Tinubu, expressed condolences during a visit to Governor Babagana Umara Zulum of Borno State in Maiduguri following the passing of his mother-in-law, Fatsuma Kyari, last week.

In a statement issued by Zulum’s media aide, Isa Gusau, Mrs Tinubu consoled the governor and the family, urging them to find comfort in the divine will of God. Governor Zulum expressed gratitude to the First Lady for her visit.

Before meeting the governor, Mrs Tinubu had visited the governor’s wife, Dr Falmata Babagana Umara Zulum, at her family residence in Maiduguri. Prayers were offered for the peaceful repose of the departed soul during this condolence visit.

Fatsuma Kyari, the deceased, was the mother of Dr Falmata Babagana Zulum, the first lady of Borno State. She passed away at the age of 67, leaving behind children and grandchildren.

Mrs Tinubu arrived in Maiduguri accompanied by the Vice President’s wife, Hajiya Nana Kashim Shettima, the Senate President’s wife, Ekaette Akpabio, the APC National Chairman’s wife, Professor Hafsat Ganduje, and the Minister of Agriculture’s wife, Hajiya Bilkis Kyari.
