Look At The Future And Vote For Tinubu
The leader of Young Professionals of Nigeria (YPN), Pastor John Desmond, has urged the Southern electorate to get their PVC ready for 2023 general election and vote for the candidate of APC, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Desmond made the call in Umuahia, Abia state during a sensitization tour of young professionals who are members of the APC across the SouthEast geopolitical zone. Desmond said, since the APC was formed, in 2013, there have been concerted voices encouraging the party to emulate the PDP by zoning its presidential ticket to the South, ahead of 2023 contest. In total agreement with proponents of power shift to the South, among them: Governor Babagana Zulum of Borno State; his Kaduna State counterpart, Mallam Nasir el-Rufai and Governor Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano State, who was justifying that rotation must be respected in the national interest and for the nation’s continued unity and peaceful coexistence; as doing otherwise would portend grave danger for the country.
It would amount to insensitivity and an excruciating moral burden, injustice and a grave danger to national cohesion, for the North to again present a candidate for the position of number one citizen, after President Buhari would have completed his two terms of Office, of four years, each, in utter neglect of the current clamour for power shift.
The APC is presenting a Southern candidate, in the person of the Nigerian legend, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu. Desmond said that Tinubu was one rare personality with sefless features, strides and achievements. He is a politician, businessman and leader of thought that has earned a place in history as one of the most spectacular political gem who has effected monumental democratic change in the country’s political evolution.
Jagaban understood the relevance of youth in the demographic segmentation of Nigeria. He foresaw the emergence of this sector of our demography and quickly exploited this. The consequence of that stride is the emergence of young political heavyweights, such as Raji Fashola, Yemi Osinbajo, Akinwumu Ambode, Banire, Obanikoro, Alake, Fayemi, Edun, Aregbesola, Akabueze, Igbokwe, Fowler, etc. Therefore, my SouthEast brothers, if you must vote, I urge you to look at the future and drop emotions and vote for Asiwaju Bola Tinubu and the APC during the general election.
