Mutfwang Reacts To Appeal Court Verdict Sacking Him As Plateau Governor, Reveals Next Move

Plateau State Governor, Caleb Mutfwang, has characterized the recent ruling by the Appeal Court that removed him from office as a momentary setback. In a statement conveyed by his Director of Press and Public Affairs, Gyang Bere, the governor expressed his determination to continue steering the state towards unity, peace, and progress despite this temporary setback.

Governor Mutfwang urged the citizens of the state and supporters of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to remain composed. He assured them that, with confidence in the divine, his mandate would endure and be safeguarded.

Furthermore, the governor disclosed that he has instructed his legal team to initiate an appeal at the Supreme Court.

“He expressed strong optimism that the mandate overwhelmingly given to him by the people of Plateau State would be restored, as he has instructed his legal team to file an appeal at the Supreme Court,” the statement partly read.
