Nigeria Customs Service Recruitment Is Going On?

One of the posts states: Nigeria custom service replacement form is going on.” It tells those interested or who know someone who wants to join the NCS to send a message on WhatsApp or call the number in the post.

However, it’s worth noting that the customs service officially stated in April that it was not in the process of recruitment. Furthermore, Africa Check also refuted a similar claim about the agency’s recruitment in September.

But are these newer claims correct? We checked.

Upon thorough examination of the NCS website and its verified official X handle (formerly Twitter), we found no indication that the service was conducting any recruitment at the time of compiling this report.

It’s important to note that the NCS has previously cautioned the public about individuals who falsely claim to be able to secure jobs in exchange for payment. They emphasized that anyone requesting payment for this purpose is engaged in fraudulent activity and should be reported to the nearest customs office or police station.

The last official job notice from the NCS was issued in December 2021, when they conducted a supplementary recruitment for specific cadres. This was described as a continuation of their 2019 recruitment exercise.
