According to the timetable outlined in the notice, the PDP’s congress, which will determine the party’s gubernatorial candidate, is slated for Thursday, April 25, 2024. The sale of expression of interest, nomination forms, and Ad-hoc forms is scheduled to take place from March 7 to March 21. March 25 has been designated as the deadline for the submission of completed expression of interest and Ad-hoc forms.

Per the PDP’s timetable, governorship candidates will undergo screening at the party’s National Secretariat in Abuja on March 27, with the deadline for submitting screening reports set for March 29. April 2, 2024, has been allocated for appeals related to the screening exercise. The ward congress is scheduled for April 6-7 to elect 3-man Ad-hoc Ward Delegates, followed by ward congress appeals on April 10.

Guidelines further stipulate that the Independent National Electoral Commission will receive the name of the PDP’s governorship candidate by May 20. Additionally, the National Working Committee (NWC) of the party will certify the deputy governorship candidate by May 9.
