One of the aspirants, Gbenga Edema, confronted Ododo, alleging that election materials were being distributed to various wards in the state despite the announced schedule for accreditation and voting. The secretary of the primary election committee, Ovie Omo-Agege, had announced a specific timeline for accreditation and voting, which Edema claimed the committee violated.

In response, Ododo stated that election materials had been dispatched to both the North and South senatorial districts of the state, implying that the distribution was in line with the committee’s plan.

Similarly, another aspirant, Adedayo Faduyile, from Okitipupa Local Government Area, raised concerns about the lack of due process in the election process. Faduyile reported delays in the release of electoral materials and alleged that vote counting had commenced even before the commencement of accreditation. He further claimed that no election had taken place in several local government areas, with officials allegedly collating names of supporters without conducting proper elections.

These accusations highlight the contentious nature of the APC primary in Ondo State, underscoring the need for transparency and adherence to established procedures to ensure a fair and credible electoral process.
