The founder of Grace Nation Bible Ministry, Pastor Chris Okafor, has broken his silence amid the swirling controversy involving actress Doris Ogala, emphasizing that all allegations against him must be substantiated.

Speaking on Sunday during his marriage thanksgiving service, Okafor responded indirectly to the scandal, which has dominated social media discussions. His remarks, captured in a video that quickly circulated online, highlighted his approach of restraint and reliance on divine guidance.

The controversy escalated after Doris Ogala was reportedly arrested at her residence on December 20, 2025, following her public claims that Okafor failed to fulfill a marriage commitment.

Addressing his congregation, Okafor explained that his silence was intentional and guided by prudence and spiritual instruction. He acknowledged the difficulty of being misrepresented but insisted he had deliberately avoided public engagement with the allegations.

“Though it can be painful to be misrepresented for what you are not, what you have never seen or known in your life, we leave it there for now. Thanks be unto the Lord,” he stated.

Okafor described responding directly to the accusations as unnecessary and potentially counterproductive. “We will never dignify a mad devil by replying. That would amount to glorifying the devil,” he said.

He further underscored the personal nature of his relationship with God, asserting that no one can define or misrepresent it. “Since I grew up, I have known this man (God) as my father and nobody can tell me anything about him,” he remarked.

The cleric also urged his followers to respect the legal process, stressing that authorities are handling the matter. “Everything you say to anybody, you must prove it in the law court. So, don’t worry, we are not quiet. We’re praying and we’re following the mature way we should follow. The truth will come out,” he added.

Okafor hinted that sensitive details surrounding the issue remain undisclosed due to ongoing investigations and legal proceedings. “Because the authorities are in the matter, I cannot say it in public. You will be surprised about people that are involved. I got reports, you will be surprised about people that are behind the scene,” he stated.

Reaffirming the principle of accountability, the pastor concluded, “He that alleges must prove.”
