Police Crackdown: 85 Suspects Arrested In Abuja Raid

In a decisive operation, the Federal Capital Territory Police Command conducted raids on criminal hideouts in Abuja, resulting in the arrest of 85 suspects. During the operation, illegal structures and shanties used for criminal purposes were identified and marked for demolition. Numerous exhibits were seized, including counterfeit currencies, weapons, motorcycles, generators, and stolen ATM cards. The dismantled structures were set ablaze to deter criminals from reoccupying the areas.

Adeh emphasized that all arrested individuals would undergo screening, with those found guilty facing prosecution in court. Commissioner of Police FCT, CP Benneth C. Igweh, reiterated his commitment to eradicating criminal elements from the FCT and ensuring the safety of residents. He urged the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to the authorities.
