Police Unveil Clear Photos Of Suspect Behind UnitedHealthcare CEO’s Murder

The newly released surveillance photos show the suspect’s face, which had been previously concealed, smiling with a black mask hanging from his chin. He is dressed in the same dark hoodie seen on him when he allegedly opened fire on Thompson, 50, as the victim approached the Hilton Hotel on Sixth Avenue.

A close-up image shows the suspect carrying the same backpack later found in his possession. These photos were taken at a youth hostel on the Upper West Side, where authorities believe the suspect was staying prior to the shooting.

The NYPD also released footage from 15 minutes before the shooting, where the gunman appears to be speaking on the phone while heading towards the hotel. Additional images show him purchasing a bottle of water and two PowerBars at a nearby Starbucks on West 56th Street, just minutes from the crime scene. The suspect was wearing a black face mask during the transaction.

Law enforcement has recovered the suspect’s phone and one of the water bottles, and hopes to extract fingerprints and DNA from the items to aid in the investigation.

A reward of $10,000 is being offered for information leading to the suspect’s arrest.
