The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) has urged the Federal Government to consider measures beyond cash transfers for fuel subsidy palliatives.

CAN suggested the introduction of mass transport across states to reduce transportation costs, leading to significant positive impacts. Additionally, CAN called for measures to reduce fuel prices, such as removing unnecessary levies and taxes on imported petroleum products, stabilizing the foreign exchange market, and optimizing local refineries.
