Terror Strikes As Hoodlums Brutally Behead Police Inspector In Akwa Ibom

The incident involved the brutal beheading of Police Inspector Osang at his private residence situated between Enen Afaha and Afaha Ube, suburban areas within the Uyo metropolis.
TheNation reported that the attack, orchestrated by a group of over ten assailants, unfolded with moments of intense shooting that sent residents and passersby into a state of panic, fleeing for safety amidst the chaos.
The State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Odiko Mac-Don, confirmed the tragic event, expressing the profound sorrow of the police command over the murder of the officer. Mac-Don assured the public that an active investigation is underway to bring the perpetrators to justice.
He stated, “We have received that information, and it is an unfortunate situation. Already, an investigation is ongoing, and we are committed to ridding the streets of criminal elements. Again, we are not deterred and we are committed to ensuring that criminally minded persons will account for their actions.”
In response to the escalating security concerns, Governor Umo Eno issued stern warnings to criminals in the state during a gala night for service commanders. He emphasized that Akwa Ibom will not tolerate criminal activities and vowed to use every available intelligence resource to track down those involved.
