According to reports, the incident occurred on Monday, prompting the evacuation of occupants by the Police before the flames engulfed the building.

Deborah Aku, the daughter of the late governor, recounted the harrowing experience, stating that trouble began in March when an individual threatened them with a cutlass, alleging that his goat died after drinking water from their house. Despite reporting the incident to the police and having the matter taken to court, the family faced another attack on Monday morning.

Aku described how over 30 hoodlums besieged the house, destroying property, killing their dog, looting the pig house, and setting the residence ablaze. The timely intervention of the police ensured the safe evacuation of the family, preventing potential harm.

Expressing gratitude for the police rescue, Aku highlighted the loss incurred due to the arson, emphasizing the need for thorough investigations into the matter. The family has reported the incident to relevant authorities, seeking justice and security measures to prevent future occurrences.
