Robert Maersk Uggla expressed Maersk’s commitment to Nigeria by announcing plans for a $600 million investment aimed at enhancing container shipping services in Nigerian ports. He emphasized Nigeria’s potential to accommodate larger container ships and highlighted the need for expanding port infrastructure, particularly in Lagos, to meet growing demand and reduce logistics costs.

President Tinubu welcomed the investment as a significant boost to the administration’s ongoing efforts in seaport reconstruction across Nigeria’s eastern and western seaports.
