Bello clarified that the selection of the caretaker chairpersons ensued following the conclusion of the elected council chairmen’s tenure in December 2023.

He noted that the State House of Assembly had previously sanctioned the appointment of the caretaker chairmen as submitted to them without any alterations.

The newly appointed caretaker chairpersons are as follows:

1. Hon, Rasheed Bashiru Okatengwu – Adavi LGA
2. Hon. Haruna Aliyu Ogido – Ajaokuta LGA
3. Adamu Yahaya Mohammed – Ankpa LGA
4. Theophilus Adama – Bassa LGA
5. John Urah – Dekina LGA
6. Hon. Emmanuel Uge – Ibaji LGA
7. Amade Egwuda Ochuenu – Idah LGA
8. Hon. Cosmas Attabor Ilemona – Igalamela-Odolu LGA
9. Ibrahim Haruna – Ijumu LGA
10. Barr. Zaccaeus Dare Michael – Kabba-Bunu LGA
11. Hon Musa Abdulmalik – Kogi LGA
12. Hon. Abdullahi Adamu – Lokoja LGA
