The spiritual endeavor follows a horrifying incident in Agojeju-Odo, located within the Omala Local Government Area, where 25 individuals fell victim to a brutal attack allegedly perpetrated by suspected herders.
In a statement issued on behalf of the group, the Iye Ebulejonu Of Igala Kingdom, Alima Abuh, vehemently denounced the violent atrocities and demanded justice for the victims.
“This senseless rampage has resulted in the tragic loss of numerous lives and the destruction of properties worth millions of naira,” she lamented.
The women’s forum implored government authorities to promptly assess the extent of the damage and provide immediate assistance to the affected individuals.
In an effort to combat despair and seek divine intervention, members across the 11 wards of the local government have been mobilized for a period of fasting and prayers, with hopes of restoring peace and healing to their community.
The statement also conveyed heartfelt condolences to the grieving families, invoking blessings from the Almighty and ancestral deities for comfort and solace during this difficult time.
“We extend our deepest sympathies to the bereaved families and loved ones. May our fallen heroes and heroines find eternal rest,” added Abuh.
