Just In: Federal Ministry of Works Hit By Sudden Fire Outbreak

Fire erupted at the Federal Ministry of Works headquarters in Mabushi, Abuja, shortly after employees arrived for work on Friday morning. The blaze was sparked by a faulty circuit breaker on the ground floor but was quickly contained, averting any major damage. Mohammed A. Ahmed, the Director of Press and Public Relations, confirmed the incident, stating, “The fire ignited at 11:30 am in Block A, stemming from a malfunctioning circuit breaker in the electrical control room on the ground floor.”

Mr. Kekai Bekebi, the Station Commander of the Federal Fire Service, reported that his team swiftly extinguished the fire using fire extinguishers and safely evacuated the staff. Mr. Aliyu Abdullahi, the Director of Human Resource Management, indicated that there were no injuries, casualties, or loss of documents during the incident. He also commended the staff for their orderly conduct during the evacuation.
