Kunle Afolayan’s Daughter, Eyiyemi, Says She Can’t Build A Future With A Man
Nollywood actress Eyiyemi Afolayan has revealed why she is unwilling to build a relationship from the ground up with a man, saying she believes some men change negatively after attaining financial success.
According to Ireporter Online, the fast-rising actress made the remarks during an interview with BBC Yoruba, where she shared her views on relationships, wealth, and marriage.
Eyiyemi, who is the daughter of renowned filmmaker Kunle Afolayan, argued that financial success can influence a man’s attitude, making some become disrespectful or unfaithful. She maintained that this belief is the reason she would not consider starting a relationship with a man who is not already financially stable.
The actress explained that having grown up in a wealthy family, she expects any man seeking her hand in marriage to be financially independent and capable of taking care of himself. While she is open to supporting her partner when necessary, she insisted she would not assume the responsibility of providing for him.
She further expressed her opposition to polygamy, stating that she would never agree to become a second or third wife. According to her, polygamous marriages are often accompanied by unnecessary conflicts and challenges, making such an arrangement one she has no interest in pursuing.
