Commander Adetunji Adeleye, leading the Amotekun Corps, announced the arrests while parading the suspects. The alleged offenses include kidnapping, illegal possession of firearms, and activities involving the burglary of shops and houses.
Emphasizing the commitment of the corps to maintaining security, Commander Adeleye asserted that Amotekun will persist in its efforts to rid the state of criminal elements.
He reassured the public that the government remains resolute in ensuring the safety of citizens, farmers, investors, and commuters, enabling them to travel freely across the state without fear of criminal attacks.
Commander Adeleye disclosed that security agency chiefs in the state received directives from Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa’s administration to root out offenders disturbing the peace of the state.
He affirmed, “We want to reassure the good people of Ondo State that Amotekun is intact, and we will continue our 24-hour patrol.
We will continue to track all criminals from the cities to the forest reserves and ensure that travelers are not molested.” This bold move by Amotekun underscores the commitment to maintaining law and order for the well-being of the state’s residents.
