The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) Badagry Unit, under the command of William Manga, confirmed the unfortunate accident, stating that it occurred around 8:50 p.m. Emergency response personnel reached the scene promptly at 9:00 p.m., finding three individuals involved in the collision.
Regrettably, the motorcyclist lost his life instantly, while the two occupants of the Toyota Camry sustained varying degrees of injuries. Immediate medical attention was provided, with the injured parties rushed to the General Hospital in Badagry for treatment. The deceased motorcyclist was conveyed to the hospital’s mortuary.
Manga emphasized the need for drivers on the Agbara-Badagry expressway to exercise caution and be mindful of other road users navigating the single lane. He urged strict adherence to speed limits and recommended regular car inspections to identify and rectify any potential malfunctions promptly.
This tragic incident underscores the importance of road safety measures and responsible driving to prevent such accidents and preserve lives on busy expressways.
