In a Twitter space conversation on the topic “PDP leadership and role of opposition in democracy,” Sowunmi indicated that if the PDP does not undergo necessary reforms, he may join the APC.

He specifically urged Daniel Bwala, a former spokesperson for Atiku’s campaign, to reserve a space for him in the APC.

Sowunmi’s potential move to the APC is rooted in his perception of the PDP’s failure to embrace internal reforms.

He questioned the loyalty of some PDP members who had switched allegiances over time, contrasting their actions with his steadfast commitment to the party despite its challenges.

Expressing his frustration, Sowunmi stated, “If they don’t want us to reform the party, please o, Bwala o Bwala, Bwala, Bwala, keep space for me, I am coming.”

It’s worth noting that Daniel Bwala had previously pledged support for President Bola Tinubu after visiting the Presidential Villa. Sowunmi’s remarks indicate a growing discontent within the PDP and a potential realignment of political allegiances.
