BREAKING: Former Anambra Governor Dead And Buried (PHOTOS)

The final resting place for the late former Governor of Anambra State, Dr. Chinwoke Mbadinuju, has been Uli, Ihiala Local Government Area of the state. After his demise on April 11, 2023, formal ceremonies were conducted, starting with a lying-in-state event at the Anambra State Government House in Awka.

This was followed by a commendation service held at the International Convention Centre in Awka, where numerous individuals from Anambra State paid tribute to the late former governor.

Governor Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra State, along with other former governors, distinguished guests, and the people of Anambra State, participated in the interdenominational service to pray for the peaceful repose of Mbadinuju’s soul.

During the funeral, Governor Soludo highlighted the numerous legacy projects left by the late former governor throughout the state. He also reflected on the security challenges during Mbadinuju’s time, noting the efforts made to reclaim the state from criminal elements.

Mbadinuju served as the governor of Anambra from 1999 to 2003 under the platform of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP). He is remembered for introducing Monday Morning Prayers in Anambra State and for his slogan, ‘It Shall be well with Anambra State.’
