BREAKING: Reps Member Donland Ojogo Escapes D**th In Highway Crash
A convoy of the lawmaker representing Ilaje/Ese-Odo Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Donland Ojogo, was involved in a road accident along the Ore–Ondo Road on Saturday.
According to Ireporter Online, the incident occurred while the federal lawmaker was travelling to Arogbo in Ese-Odo Local Government Area for a political engagement.
Reports indicate that the accident involved a commercial bus which allegedly attempted to overtake Ojogo’s vehicle in a dangerous manner before colliding with an oncoming vehicle. The incident reportedly caused panic among motorists and other road users in the area.
Ojogo was said to have escaped the crash without serious injuries, although some members of his entourage were reportedly affected and sustained injuries.
Reacting to the incident, the lawmaker expressed gratitude to God for protecting him and members of his team, saying the outcome could have been more serious.
Ojogo attributed the accident to what he described as reckless and impatient driving by the commercial bus driver, stressing that the incident was avoidable.
He said divine intervention prevented the situation from resulting in a major tragedy.
Meanwhile, those who sustained injuries in the crash were reportedly taken to a nearby medical facility for treatment, while details about their conditions were not immediately available.
