BREAKING: Tinubu Makes Strong Appointments (FULL LIST)

President Bola Tinubu has given his endorsement for the appointment of three new Executive Commissioners to serve in the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC), as well as the redeployment of one existing Executive Commissioner. These appointments are pending confirmation by the Nigerian Senate.

The appointees are:

1. Mr. Bashir Indabawa — North West — Executive Commissioner, Exploration & Acreage Management
2. Dr. Kelechi Ofoegbu — South East — Executive Commissioner, Corporate Services & Administration (Redeployed)
3. Mr. Enorense Amadasu — South South — Executive Commissioner, Development & Production
4. Mr. Babajide Fasina — South West — Executive Commissioner, Economic Regulation & Strategic Planning

The statement, signed by the Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to the President, Ajuri Ngelale, explains that the President’s decision is rooted in a comprehensive assessment of all pertinent factors within the sector. The aim is to establish a regulatory framework and foster a culture that promotes thoroughness and adherence to rules-based business practices throughout the industry.
