In a decisive move, the DHQ dismisses sensationalized reports circulating in the media, particularly allegations suggesting heightened vigilance within the Presidential Guards Brigade amidst coup suspicions.
Brigadier Gen Tukur Gusau, Acting Director of Defence Information, staunchly refutes these claims, affirming that the Guards Brigade maintains a standard level of alertness to safeguard the Presidency and the Federal Capital Territory.
Gusau emphasizes, “The Guards Brigade has always been on high alert as part of its duty to protect the seat of power and the Federal Capital Territory.”
