Edo: Kidnappers release father and son after N3m ransom
Gunmen have released a man, Godwin Osakwe, and his 17-year-old son, who were kidnapped on Tuesday in Edo after N3m ransom was paid.
It was gathered that the victims, Osakwe and his son were abducted at the Ahor village end of the Benin bypass were released on Thursday.
In a similar case, the Edo State Police Public Relations Officer, Bello Kontongs, confirmed the kidnapping of three people at the National Institute of Construction Technology, Uromi, in the Esan North-East Local Government Area of the state and said the police are on the trail of the kidnappers.
“It is true, three persons were kidnapped, two students and staff.
The police are after the kidnappers and we will get them,” he added.
