Ezenwafor Rises! PDP Unleashes Political Firepower Ahead of Anambra 2025

Ezenwafor clinched the party’s ticket after securing 798 votes in the primary election held in Awka on Tuesday.

According to the results obtained by Ireporter, a total of 999 delegates were listed for the election, with 853 accredited to vote. Of these, 26 votes were declared invalid.

Speaking ahead of the primaries, PDP’s Publicity Secretary in Ebonyi State, Nwafor Nwali, expressed confidence that the party would field a strong contender capable of unseating the incumbent, Governor Chukwuma Soludo of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA).

“Charles Soludo didn’t emerge through a credible and transparent party process. His selection by voice vote was a mockery of internal democracy,” Nwali stated.

He also criticized the emergence of the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu, alleging that irregularities in the process had caused discontent within the APC ranks.

“The selection of Ukachukwu led to the resignation of key stakeholders from the APC. A candidate emerging through such flawed processes cannot win,” he added.

The former South East PDP Media Director expressed strong optimism that Ezenwafor would deliver victory for the PDP in Anambra.
