Fatal Clash Over Mobile Phone: Niger Boy Stabs Friend To Death

The incident occurred in the abattoir area of Kwata Tayi village, Minna, on Sunday morning. Reports indicate that a heated argument between the two friends escalated into violence when Isah allegedly stabbed Nuhu in the stomach with a knife.

Eyewitnesses reported that Nuhu collapsed following the stabbing and was quickly taken to the hospital. Despite efforts to save him, Nuhu was pronounced dead upon arrival.

Wasiu Abiodun, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) for the Niger State Command, confirmed the incident, stating, “A report was made to the GRA Division about a confrontation between Mohammed Isah of Angwan-Biri and Nurudeen Nuhu of Angwan-Daji at the abattoir area in Kwata Tayi village over a mobile phone issue. During the altercation, Isah allegedly used a knife to stab Nuhu in the stomach.”

The police arrived at the scene, and Nuhu was transported to the General Hospital, where he was confirmed dead.

Isah has been apprehended by the police, and a preliminary investigation is underway. He will be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) for further investigation and prosecution.
