Omokri Slams Wike: “Stop Wasting Energy On Kingibe, Focus On Winning 2027!

Omokri suggested that Wike should redirect his efforts towards aiding Tinubu’s campaign rather than clashing with Kingibe. Kingibe recently criticized Wike for prioritizing infrastructure over addressing the real needs of FCT residents.

Kingibe’s criticism led Wike to threaten that she would not return to the Senate in 2027. However, Omokri urged Wike to disregard Kingibe’s provocations.

In a post on X, Omokri stated: “Wike is spreading himself too thin by opening multiple battlefronts. He needs to be strategic and choose his battles wisely. At worst, Ireti Kingibe is a minor annoyance rather than a serious threat. As FCT Minister, Kingibe has limited influence to cause significant harm beyond being a nuisance.

“Wike is already contending with a formidable opponent in Rivers State. Why should he divert his focus to a relatively insignificant issue like Kingibe? There’s a risk of losing focus and falling short.

“Threatening Kingibe’s reelection is both undemocratic and futile. Historically, the FCT votes for opposition parties. Buhari lost the FCT in 2015 and 2019, and Tinubu did the same in 2023. Wike should be more concerned with securing FCT votes for 2027 rather than engaging in petty conflicts.

“If Wike finds himself constantly at odds with people, perhaps he should reflect on his approach. Ignoring Kingibe might be the more mature strategy.”
