Omokri’s Blueprint For Security: Establishing Forest Ranger Force To Combat Terrorism Under President Tinubu
Renowned political commentator and former presidential aide, Reno Omokri, has presented a strategic roadmap for President Tinubu to tackle the escalating terrorism crisis in Nigeria…..CONTINUE READING
In response to the alarming reports of over a thousand Nigerians murdered since President Tinubu assumed office last May, Omokri’s proactive approach aims to address the root causes of insecurity.
Through his social media handle, Omokri emphasized the urgent need for Nigeria to establish a dedicated Forest Ranger Force. His comprehensive strategy involves patrolling the nation’s forests by land and air, equipping rangers with advanced night vision goggles and heat-detecting devices, and ensuring they are armed to confront the evolving threats posed by kidnappers, terrorists, and bandits.
Omokri highlighted the transformation of Nigeria’s forests into havens for criminals and emphasized that as long as these areas remain safe for them, insecurity will persist. He called for citizens to refrain from residing in forests within Nigeria’s sovereign territory, stating, “Residing in a forest automatically raises suspicion.”
The proposal aligns with the pressing need for a targeted and comprehensive strategy to combat terrorism. Omokri’s emphasis on securing Nigeria’s vast forested areas through a specialized force equipped with cutting-edge technology reflects a commitment to addressing the root causes of insecurity and creating a safer environment for all citizens. As the nation grapples with the urgent need for effective measures, Omokri’s blueprint offers a potential path forward in the fight against terrorism
