Federal Housing Authority Director Kidnapped In Brazen Abuja Attack Near Military Camp

In a bold act, bandits targeted the vicinity of a military camp in Pambara, Bwari Area Council of Abuja, leading to the abduction of Aondo Ver, a director in the Federal Housing Authority (FHA), Federal Capital Territory. The attack unfolded at approximately 12:30 am on Thursday, causing widespread panic as the bandits fired indiscriminately.

Despite the military base, known as ‘camp,’ being situated just about 200 meters away, the assailants successfully evaded capture, escaping through the bushes with their kidnapped target.

The bandit attack affected residents, including both serving and retired military personnel, leaving the entire community in a state of shock. The audacity of the bandits to strike in such close proximity to a military base raises serious concerns about the security situation in the region.

Sources indicate that Mr. Aondo Ver, the abducted FHA director, was taken from his home during the early morning assault. The incident underscores the challenges posed by the boldness of criminals targeting an area with a significant military presence.
