Sensational Bamidele, a Port Harcourt-based gospel artist who also leads the live band that performs at Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike’s project commissioning ceremonies, has survived a horrific car accident.
Bamidele, from Rivers State’s Okirika Local Government Area, was involved in an accident on the road that Governor Wike commissioned yesterday, just moments after performing at the ceremony.
He had just left the site of the road’s commissioning in Rumuodogho 1 and Rumuodogho 2 communities in Emohua Local Government Area when he was involved in a head-on collision with an oncoming vehicle.
The accident was said to have killed three people.
In a Facebook post, the singer confirmed the deaths but did not specify how many people died.
He stated that the deceased were passengers in the vehicle that conspired with his, while he and his crew are still alive.
Bamidele is said to be in the hospital receiving treatment.
The singer and his band of young talented singers and instrumentalists are known for freestyling many of the songs performed at project commissionings and occasionally at PDP rallies, including the popular “As e dey sweet us, e go dey pain them,” and “Wike dey come.”
