Kemi Adeosun’s Husband To Be Buried Thursday

Adeniyi Adeosun, the husband of former Minister of Finance Kemi Adeosun, will be laid to rest in Lagos on Thursday, August 13, following his death at the age of 62.

According to Ireporter Online, the funeral programme released by the family shows that activities will begin with a night of tributes on Wednesday, August 12, at the Harbour Point Event Centre on Wilmot Point Road, Victoria Island, Lagos.

The tribute event is scheduled to begin at 5pm, with family members, friends, associates and other well-wishers expected to gather to honour the deceased and celebrate his life.

The funeral service will take place on Thursday at the Redeemed Christian Church of God, City of David, Trinity Towers, located on Chief Yesufu Abiodun Oniru Road, Victoria Island. The service is scheduled to commence at 10am.

The family has chosen white as the dress code for the night of tributes, while mourners attending the funeral service on Thursday have been asked to wear blue.

In the funeral announcement signed by Wale Adeosun on behalf of the family, the deceased was remembered as a cherished son, brother, husband and father.

The family expressed appreciation for the life he lived and the memories he created with those around him, while also thanking relatives, friends and associates for their support following his passing.

Adeosun died in Lagos on August 5, 2026.

His wife, Kemi Adeosun, served as Nigeria’s Minister of Finance under former President Muhammadu Buhari from 2015 to 2018.
